The International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) organized a 3-day course (27 to 29 of March 2018) on Imposters & Documents (ID) for 15 officers and non-commissioned officers from the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) Land Border Regiments 3 and 4 (LBRs) and the Military Police, at the training centre for integrated border management at the Rayak Air Base in the Beqaa within the framework of the Netherlands-funded component of the Enhanced Capability For Integrated Border Management in Lebanon (IBM Lebanon) project, funded by the European Union.

The International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) organised a two-day workshop (February 28 - March 1, 2018) on gender-sensitive interviewing techniques for 5 officers from the Directorate General of the General Security (GS), as part of the technical assistance project Swiss Support to Integrated Border Management Lebanon, funded by the Swiss State Secretariat for Migration (SEM) and implemented by ICMPD.

The International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) conducted a Study Visit (SV) for 5 officers from the Directorate General of the General Security (GS) to Italy (29/01 to 02/03), the second as part of the project Swiss Support to IBM Lebanon, funded by the Swiss State Secretariat for Migration (SEM). The 5 GS officers were chosen from relevant Departments responsible for investigations and for the management of Beirut International Airport, Boqai’a BCP, and Masna’a BCP. All 5 officers have already participated in related training activities over the past year.

The International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) conducted from the 5th  to the 8th of February 2018 an assessment of the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) investigative capabilities within the framework of the Netherlands-funded component of the Enhanced Capability For Integrated Border Management in Lebanon (IBM Lebanon), funded by the European Union.

The International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) organized a training course on Imposters & Documents (ID) to 16 Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) Military Police (MP) including investigators, within the framework of the Netherlands-funded component of the Enhanced Capability For Integrated Border Management in Lebanon (IBM Lebanon), funded by the European Union.

The International Centre for Migration Policy (ICMPD) organized a 3- day Contingency Planning (CP) workshop (22- 24 January 2018) for the Bouqai’a border crossing point (BCP) in north Lebanon within the framework of the technical assistance project Enhanced Capability For Integrated Border Management in Lebanon (IBM Lebanon), funded by the European Union.
